Who we are:

Teng Hoi Conservation Organization was formed in 2003 and has grown from strength to strength through the invaluable support and effort of its members and supporters.  Whilst they are too numerous to mention fully here, we would like to take this opportunity to thank all those people who have assisted us in in all matters of whatever magnitude. We hope that we can continue to rely on such excellent support in future.

A few of the key founding members of Teng Hoi are as follows:

George Woodman is originally from the UK, although he has lived in Hong Kong since 1997.  He has a degree and PhD in physics and uses his expertise to direct much of the technical development side of Teng Hoi's operations.  George has a background in education, most recently as Head of Science at Li Po Chun United World College of Hong Kong between 1997 and 2003.

Alain Lau was born in Hong Kong and is a citizen of the Special Administrative Region.  He has a keen awareness of the need to promote environmental awareness within the city and the region.  He is is a keen diver and brings to Teng Hoi his enthusiasm and professional expertise in the insurance industry that have helped to manage Teng Hoi effectively.

Simon Wilson was originally from the UK, although he now shares his time between Oman, where he directs a marine environmental consultancy company, and South Africa. He has a degree in zoology and an MSc in Tropical Coast Zone Management.  Simon has brought his interest, enthusiasm and technical expertise to forward Teng Hoi's aims for over 13 years.
